Our Aims
- To whole heartedly be committed to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as the Bible tells us in John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name”
- To be prepared for the lord’s coming by baptizing in water and being regular at communion. (Corinthians 11:23-26) “For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, and this cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes”.
- To seek and encourage others to seek the release of the power of the Holy Spirit and daily filling with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:17 “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams”
- To read the bible regularly, accepting its inspiration and acting on it by the power of the Holy Spirit, so that the church may become grounded under the lordship of Christ. The lord is our strength as believers, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.
- As a community to be committed to each other in unity and love.
- Respecting and trusting the lord, as well as the leaders of the church.
- Encouraging each other and refusing to part-take in any gossiping, but rather engaging to sort out any problems constructively.
- All women within the church are to stand firm in developing the children and youths to be strong in the word of God, as Deborah did in Judges 5.
